Abstract

Research on cultural industries in the digital age have shown how these industries are changing in the present century, in the context of digitalization. Even though it has been quite prolific, this agenda cannot effectively take into account the emergence of new cultural texts that don’t have a clear parallelism with already stablished industries. In the present work, I will draw attention to some of the features that have been the core of this research agenda. Subsequently, I will draw on the case of Feeld, a dating app oriented to relational diversity, as an example of a new cultural text that has no parallelism with those produced by the cultural industries of the XXth century.
