Abstract

The objective of this article is looking at emotions and their relationship with
voting. In particular, we look at emotions in the 2018 Mexico´s presidential
election. In the first place, we pretend to do a conceptual and contextual literature review on the topic. Secondly, we discuss the results of a survey on
voter´s emotions towards the four 2018 presidential hopefuls. Preliminary
results show the emergence of what we can call a political-emotional polarization that, on the one hand, highlights hope and security, and on the other,
shows a high level of anger.
