Abstract

The objective of the work is to know the influence that the Social Impulse
Centers program, of the government of Guanajuato in 2017, had to increase the social cohesion of the user population, implemented in areas of high marginalization and poverty. The study concludes that there is no significant relationship between participation in the program and having a high level of social cohesion compared to non-users; this is explained in part by the logic of the social program. We consider that the main contribution of the work is that it presents a tool: the social cohesion index, for the evaluation of this type of programs that seek to influence this important global issue.
