Abstract

This essay approaches a perspective focused on making intelligible, in fundamentally economic-political terms, the process of urbanization-metropolization of the Puebla-Tlaxcalteca valley, both at a macro-regional level and from the level of the daily life of the people who They inhabit this valley. In this way, the general lines of the urbanization process of the valley are addressed, the theoretical axes that allow—from Marxist political economy and the sociology of social reproduction—to convert such a problem into an object of knowledge and the methodological provisions that are appropriate. to penetrate the problem.
